Rural Travel and Tourism: Federal Agency Partnerships, Emerging Issues and Policy Directions

PRESENTATION

Speaker:

James A. Maetzold,
National Alternative Enterprises and Agritourism Leader
USDA/NRCS

Description:
Each Federal agency present will present a 5-7 minute overview of Federal/state/private partnerships, major issues being faced and future policy directions. Agencies indicating an interest in being part of the panel include: Natural Resources Conservation Service, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, and Cooperative State Research, Extension and Education Service

Participants will be encouraged to ask questions of agency staff.

The 1998 program included a panel of Federal Agencies. It was very well accepted and the networking during the conference was very productive and informative. It established connections which are still in use today.
