Marketing

Does your artisan group wish they had more customers and more sales?
How confident are they that marketing strategies are working?

Do they have a strategy?

Question: What is marketing?
Answer: Everything you do on behalf of your business

Have participants make a list of all the things that they do to market their artisan business.

Do they have a marketing plan?

If they answer, “I don’t know” they are not alone.

However, without a plan for how the online site will enhance business, it is impossible to
make any predictions.

Artisans need to plan ahead to prevent costly surprises.

Before we can assist them in building a marketing plan or creating a Web site we must first encourage them to do their homework.
