The National e-Commerce Extension Initiative Awards More Mini-Grants

On August 8, 2011 the Initiative's advisory board selected two mini-grant applicants and one educational resource applicant to receive funding for their e-commerce activities.

Dr. Carol Centrallo from Auburn University received funds to implement the curricula titled Electronic Retailing: Selling on the Internet targeting small businesses in Alabama's black belt.

Judy Chambers, from Pennsylvania State University Extension Service, received funds to implement the Connecting Communities curricula in an effort to launch a broadband initiative in Adams County, Pennsylvania.

Debra Kantor, Extension Educator from the University of Maine, received funds to implement her educational resource project titled: Connecting Kids to e-Commerce. The project's priority topic is E-Commerce resources for youth. The curriculum will include seven chapters focusing on entrepreneurship and marketing with a particular focus on using the internet.
