National e-Commerce Extension Initiative Fall 2009 Webinar Series

The National e-Commerce Extension Initiative has concluded the 2009 fall Webinar Series. These Webinars were designed for Extension educators, economic development professionals and other interested parties who have a desire to work with local leaders, citizens, and organizations to build a strong, vibrant plan for introducing and effectively using broadband in their communities. The Fall 2009 Webinar Series spotlighted newly developed online learning curricula. Participation in the Webinar Series was highly recommended for those Extension Educators interested in applying for the Implementation Mini–Grants Program.

Fall 2009 Webinar Series Featured on Extension Radio Program

Rachael Carter, Extension Associate in Community and Strategic Planning and a presenter for the recent Fall 2009 Webinar Series was interviewed for Farm and Family Radio to discuss the program. Kicked off October 29, this exciting series was aimed at Extension educators, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. Topics include beginning e-commerce activities, e-commerce for Hispanic small businesses, marketing food online, and introduction to e-tailing. Hear Carter answer questions about the program and learn how it can benefit you.

All webinars will air monthly on the second Thursday at 2 p.m. (ET); 1p.m. (CT); noon (MT); 11a.m. (PT). No pre-registration is required and there is no fee to participate. About 10 minutes prior to the start time simply go the Adobe Connect Pro meeting room at . You will be presented with a login screen that has an "Enter as Guest" option. Enter your full name then click "Enter Room" to join the conference. You will be able to hear the audio directly from your computer’s speakers.
