Core activities focus on mobilizing land-grant faculty to work collaboratively to better understand the challenges and opportunities associated with the current and future growth of Hispanics in the rural South; strengthen the research and Extension outreach work being undertaken by our region’s land-grant university system that addresses the growth of Hispanics in the South; and advance the capacity of the land-grant system to lend support to those rural communities that seek to respond to the needs of their growing Hispanic population in a positive and strategic manner.
