Designed to help communities make the leap forward in preparing themselves and their youth for economic and workforce development, the conference brought together a diverse team of Extension professionals, all of whom have an important role in the development of youth in the South. As a team, participants had equal exposure to ideas and resources to start new strategies to identify and develop assets in the their communities.

To encourage participants to share the strategies and lessons learned from the conference with others, mini-grants were awarded to several state programs on a competitive basis.
