| Over the past 10 years, Southwestern Oregon Community College, a rural college on the south coast of Oregon, has doubled its enrollments from 1700 to 3400 FTE; increased its grants and contracts from 0.5 to 4.5 million; constructed capital facilities worth $18 million without state or local support; developed three entrepreneurial programs that will enhance future revenues by $2 to $3 million a year; added a multitude of instructional programs; and been recognized nationally for its One-Stop Center. We believe that many other rural community colleges can take advantage of the things that we have learned and benefit from our experiences. | ||
