| Morgan Community College serves a large (11,500 square miles), rural (75,000 people) area of eastern Colorado. The area includes 26 high schools with half enrolling less than 100 students (7-12). Only two high schools enroll more than 300 students. Through the development of off-campus centers, distance education, and innovative programming, the college has experienced a 40 percent growth since 1995. During this same period, 220 high school students have completed an associate degree program while being a high school student. In addition, it has become a vital player in the life of the communities it serves. The college includes a main campus, five off-campus sites, four distance education TV networks, and is a partner with CCCOnline. Enrollment has grown by 40 percent to nearly 1000 FTE. Twenty-seven percent of the college's enrollment is via distance education. This is the largest percentage of any state-supported college/university in Colorado. The college is also developing partnerships with universities to provide bachelor completion programs. | ||
