| How one college has created and integrated programs to serve a large (11,500 square miles), sparsely populated (75,000 people) area of eastern Colorado. In 1998 Morgan Community College created the Customized Business and Community Services (CBCS) division to develop programs to serve area business and industry. From a part-time director and clerical assistant, it has grown to a full-time staff of five. In addition, it received the second largest amount of state training dollars of any of the 15 community colleges in the state. The college has also integrated this division with work done by its Small Business Development Center and Agriculture and Business Management Program to become a vital partner with local economic development organizations, the regional workforce center, and others involved with workforce, economic and community development. | ||
