Building Institutional Capacity
October 7-9, 2002 • Memphis, Tenn.

CONFERENCE
OVERVIEW

Introduction

RCCA 2002 is a national learning event for rural community colleges and their community partners. This conference will provide an opportunity for participants to:

  • Learn from the seven-year experience of The Ford Foundation's Rural Community College Initiative (RCCI) - What works, what doesn't.
  • Interact with peers and national experts on challenges facing rural colleges and communities.
  • Learn about effective rural strategies to increase educational access, expand college capacity, and build the economy.
  • Hear from resource people about funding opportunities.

We invite you to attend the RCCA 2002 and submit proposals for panels, tutorials, workshops, posters/demonstrations and roundtable discussions. Each proposal will be reviewed by the conference planning committee for inclusion in the conference program. We anticipate a rich variety of presentations and presenters who will reflect Rural America's many diverse economies and people.
