RIDGE Center for Targeted Studies: 2015 Call for Research Proposals

The RIDGE Center for Targeted Studies is pleased to announce its 2014 Call for Research Proposals. The RIDGE Center is jointly coordinated by the Purdue Center for Regional Development and the Southern Rural Development Center, in collaboration with the Regional Rural Development Centers. Funding for the RIDGE Center is provided by the Economic Research Service, USDA.

Two grant programs are now open for applications:

1. The purpose of the RIDGE (Research Innovation and Development Grants in Economics) Center for Targeted Studies is to invest in innovative social sciences-based research that explores the food and nutrition assistance challenges of rural people and places. The program is interested in a widearray of topics and issues. Proposals that focus on Native Americans, Hispanics, African Americans, and other racial/ethnic populations, as well as children and low-wealth individuals/households, are strongly encouraged. Deadline date for submissions is May 15, 2015.

2. The RIDGE Doctoral Dissertation Research Grant Program: This grant program is intended to invest in graduate students attending universities in the U.S. who are pursuing doctoral research in areas that closely align with the research priorities of the RIDGE Center for Targeted Studies. Deadline date for submissions is May 20, 2015.
