Participation is limited to those heavily engaged in rural education research or those agencies who fund rural education research. To find out if your current projects and activities qualify you to attend, contact Bo Beaulieu or Bonnie Teater at the Southern Rural Development Center.

Registration Information

The conference begins on Monday, April 14 at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15.

The registration fee is $125. This fee covers the cost of meeting space, breaks, lunch and workshop materials.

Checks should be made payable to the Southern Rural Development Center. Registration refunds will be made for cancellations made three working days prior to the conference. If you have questions or need additional information, contact Bonnie Teater at the SRDC.

Lodging

This conference will be held at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, located at 500 Canal Street. The hotel, borders the French Quarter and is just steps from the Mississippi River and Harrah's Casino.

A block of rooms has been reserved in the name of "Southern Rural Development Center." Rates are $139 single/double main house level and $169 single/double club level if booked by the priority date of Friday, March 14, 2003. Reservation requests received after the cutoff date will be accepted on a space available basis at the prevailing rate. Participants should make their own reservations by calling the hotel directly at (504) 525-2500.
