Finding Help to Design and Build the Website

There are many individuals and businesses that specialize in website design and development. If you are not particularly computer savvy or do not have the time available to develop your own website you might consider hiring someone to develop it for you. You may also consider hiring a college student or an older child to assist in website design. Many college students are quite web-savvy and know how to develop websites. College students and small start-up companies will probably charge less for their services than large, established website design firms.

Finding a website designer

There are many businesses out there that will design and build your website. Finding the right one for you can take a lot of time. Design Firms (http://www.designfirms.org) has a website that can help. Their on-line directory has a state by state listing of web designers categorized by specialty (web design, website templates, website graphics design, etc.). Check it out!
Kim Tait hired someone to develop her initial website. Later when she wanted to revise the site, she went to the Small Business Development Center at Penn State University to seek assistance. Kim hired a local company to develop the shopping cart software for her site. Cindy Latchaw had one of her children develop her website.
