Getting Your Site Online
To get your site online, you have to upload your files from your computer to your web host. Most sites use FTP or File Transfer Protocol. This is similar to Windows Explorer because you will click & drag which files you want to upload.
This "upload" process is pretty easy:

If you're using a host other than GoDaddy.com, you can either use that host's version of this upload page or download an FTP program to your computer. The information needed to log in with these FTP programs can be found in the control panel of your hosting account.
If you are not using a host's option, there are many FTP programs out there, but FileZilla and CuteFTP are generally thought to be easy to use. Tutorials on using FTP programs can be found on the e-Commerce tutorials page under the "uploading files" tab.
Tips and Tricks
  - Purchase your domain name and hosting package in order to upload files.

- Contact your host for specific instructions on how to log in with an FTP program.

- Stay organized! Keep all your files in the same folder (call it something like "Web") to make it easier to design, maintain, and upload your site to your host.
