  1. Southern Rural Development Center Staff Participate in Delta Regional Forum

    Held in June, diverse participants engaged in presentations, panels, and workshops. The Forum encourages knowledge sharing and networking across community and university boundaries. This year's sessions covered a range of topics including public policy, food security, public health, and community development.   2. Stacey McCullough Named the 2024 Bonnie Teater Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient

    The Southern Rural Development Center is proud to honor Dr. Stacey McCullough as the 2024 recipient of the Bonnie Teater Community Development Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. McCullough currently serves as an Assistant Vice President for Community, Professional and Economic Development at University of Arkansas System-Division of Agriculture (UADA) Cooperative Extension Service (CES) and the Director of the Public Policy Center at UADA. She has over 20 years of experience working with community and economic development at the local, regional, institutional, and national levels.     The Regional Rural Development Centers were established under the Rural Development Act of 1972, and the Southern Rural Development Center (SRDC) was operational in 1974, with the first plan of work approved that spring.
